OAKLAND (KCBS) – Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry has made almost all the right moves on the court this season. His wife Ayesha? She’s doing the same off the court.

Ayesha Curry has long had a passion for cooking. While she’s not busy taking care of the couple’s 2-year-old daughter Riley, who herself has become a star in the playoffs, Ayesha stars as “Chef” Curry on her own YouTube channel, while also maintaining a blog.

“I’m really passionate about cooking. I’ve been doing it ever since I can remember,” she said. “My 13th birthday, I had a cooking party for my birthday.”

Curry also has a line of gourmet olive oils and custom kid’s aprons.

She said her husband’s fame didn’t drive people to her blog, “Little Lights of Mine.” But her daughter Riley’s antics during post-game news conferences? That’s another story.

“I’m usually tweeting and Instagramming by myself but surprisingly, the whole Riley thing, I’ve seen an influx with that, so that’s been quite hilarious,” Ayesha said.

She has quite the sense of humor and personality, as evidenced by the more than two million people that have watched her rap video on YouTube.

The couple met at a church youth group in Charlotte, North Carolina when she was 14 and he was 15. They started dating about five years later. As for married life? “We try to remain as normal as possible, regardless of what type of game it is. I think that’s definitely had an impact on his performance on the court.”

Before big games, Ayesha cooks a pre-game meal for Steph, usually a pasta dish with lean protein. Curry then takes a nap before spending some time playing with Riley.

“Trying to remain calm. Everybody’s getting pretty anxious at our house, so we’re just trying to keep it functional,” she said with a laugh.

Ayesha is pregnant with the couple’s second child and unlike her pregnancy with Riley, where she had cravings for Burger King Original Chicken Sandwiches and Lucky Charms, there are no cravings this time.

“The baby is due in six weeks or so, so I’m just trying to hold on through these playoffs,” she said. Hoping she won’t go into labor while dealing with the adrenaline rush of watching the games, while she cheers on her husband.
