Golden State Warriors Championship Parade Set For Friday In Oakland, Live On cbsSF.com & KPIX
OAKLAND (CBS SF) – After winning their first NBA title in 40 years, the Golden State Warriors and Oakland city officials confirmed that a parade will take place in Downtown Oakland on Friday morning, streaming live on cbsSF.com.
According to a statement by the Warriors, the parade will begin on Broadway and 11th Street around 10:00 am. The parade route goes up Broadway, Grand Avenue, Harrison Street and Lakeside Drive along Lake Merritt.
The parade will end with a rally at the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center. The team said fans can begin lining up for the rally starting at 5:00 a.m. Friday at Lakeshore Drive and 12th Street.
Fans are urged to take public transit to the parade. BART has announced additional service for the celebration. AC Transit will also be impacted by the parade.
