Lurker Reported To Be Recording Woman Through Bathroom Window In Palo Alto

PALO ALTO (CBS SF) -- A Palo Alto woman reported someone using a cellphone to film or photograph her showering through an open bathroom window last Friday night, according to police.

Officers responded to the home in the 300 block of Olive Avenue after receiving the call about 10 p.m. Friday, but were not able to find the suspect, police said.

According to the investigation, the victim, a woman in her 30s, had been showering in her home when she noticed what appeared to be a cellphone outside the open bathroom window.

When she shouted at the window, the phone disappeared from view and she heard footsteps. Another resident of the house ran outside but failed to find the suspect, police said.

According to investigators, it is likely the suspect gained access to the window from an adjacent open driveway but did not enter the residence's yard.

No description of a suspect was immediately available from police.
