World Expresses Grief, Condolences, Concern For Berkeley #BalconyCollapse Victims On Social Media
BERKELEY (CBS SF) -- In a matter of moments the tragic balcony collapse that has killed six Irish students so far, and injured 7 more became a top trending hashtag for thousands of posts on social media around the world.
The #balconycollapse, has given officials, family, friends and sympathetic strangers a way to express their grief and send condolences. Some are sharing concerns over the safety of the building where the accident happened. The Irish government has used it to send messages to students abroad to call home and let their loved ones know they are safe.
