BART Riders Report Smoke At San Francisco Powell St. Station, Transbay Traffic Briefly Halted
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - BART service was recovering Tuesday morning after reports of smoke on the underground tracks in San Francisco.
"BART is recovering from an earlier problem. There is a 10-20 minute delay system wide due to an equipment problem on the track at Powell Street," BART reported as of 9:20 a.m. on their advisories page.
Riders took to twitter to report that smoke from a train had caused the slowdown.
It wasn't immediately clear when service would return to normal.
