Chance Of Bay Area Rain This Weekend From Hurricane Dolores
(CBS SF) -- Over 24 hours ago, the Bay Area was socked in with areas of low clouds, fog and even some drizzle but the skies have mostly cleared Wednesday morning.
The Bay Area can expect to see warmer temperatures Wednesday as a result of those low clouds clearing out sooner than the day before.
Inland areas will likely see temperatures reach the 90s Wednesday and Thursday.
KPIX 5 Weather Anchor Roberta Gonzales is especially watching the weekend forecast for the possibility of rain from Hurricane Dolores.
High pressure continues to build into the Bay Area as the air mass begins to warm up.
One computer model says some of the hurricane's moisture will make it Northern California area by Sunday while another model predicts the entire system will drift west.
Dolores has rapidly intensified to a powerful Category 4 storm in the Pacific off Mexico's coast early Wednesday morning. Western Mexico and southern Baja California are expected to escape the worst of the storm which includes 130 mph winds and torrential downpours.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center says the hurricane will begin weakening Thursday.
