Person Shot Near Grocery Store In Bodega Bay
BODEGA BAY (CBS SF) -- The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has responded to a shooting near the Diekmann's Bay store in Bodega Bay.
The shooting occurred around 9:15 a.m., according to Mark Williams, a store employee.
A distraught woman came into the store at 1275 state Highway 1 to report someone had been shot and the Bodega Bay Fire Department was notified, Williams said.
The Bodega Bay Fire Department, state Department of Fish and Wildlife and State Parks also responded, Williams said.
The deli and grocery store is closed and law enforcement was still arriving at the scene around 10 a.m., Williams said.
Residents in the area have been told to shelter in place, Williams said.
