PITTSBURG (CBS SF) — 56-year-old former Oakland Athletic Tony Phillips, who played in the 1989 Battle of the Bay World Series, is coming back to professional baseball with a contract to play for the Pittsburg Diamonds.
The team announced Phillips’ contract over the weekend, the Contra Costa Times reported.
