Walker Fire Forces Evacuation Of Yosemite Campgrounds
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (KPIX) -- A fast-spreading wildfire has shut down a portion of Tioga Pass and threatens areas of Yosemite National Park.
The Walker Fire burning near Mono Lake has taken a turn toward Yosemite.
Highway 120 was closed from Highway 395 all the way to the park entrance Saturday.
Some campgrounds in the area have been evacuated.
Meanwhile, the 25,000-acre Jeruselem Fire that started last week in Lake County is now 80% contained, and all evacuation orders have been lifted.
The nearby Rocky Fire is 100% contained.
