Uber Hires Hackers Who Remotely Took Over Moving Jeep

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Uber has hired two hackers who were able to take over a Jeep while it was being driven by a journalist.

Former Twitter employee Charlie Miller, and Chris Valasek, who worked at a security firm, have quit their jobs to join the ridesharing company, Reuters reported.

The pair made waves in the automotive and technology worlds after hacking into a moving Jeep being driven by a Wired journalist.

Uber's Raffi Kirkorian welcomed the two to the company in a tweet.

Miller and Valasek will work in Uber's Advanced Technologies Center.
