SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — Frustrated residents living near Golden Gate Park showed up in force to voice their concerns over drifters taking over their neighborhood following the arrests of three people in connection with two Bay Area deaths.

“People who have lived here 20 and 30 years who have tolerated a lot are frustrated with what’s happening in this neighborhood,” San Francisco Supervisor London Breed said.

The recent murder of 23-year-old Audrey Carey in Golden Gate Park, allegedly at the hands of three drifters, has those neighbors concerned.

“I see people who are menacing.  They have dogs.  They are accosting people.  They are dealing drugs constantly.  These are not homeless people,” Karen Rose, who lives in the neighborhood said Tuesday.

Last year, the neighborhood saw 56 total robberies.  So far this year, there have been 78.
