Thieves Hit Halloween Store Manager With Car While Escaping With Costumes
NEWARK (CBS SF) -- Two women stealing from a Newark Halloween store on Monday night hit the store manager with their car as they escaped, according to police.
The women were leaving the Spirit Halloween Store in the Newpark Mall at about 8:30 p.m. with a bag full of stolen merchandise, police said.
The store manager followed them out as they fled to their car.
The manager tried to take a picture of the women's car, but they plowed into him, sending him over the hood. He was treated at the scene for his injuries, police said.
The two women remain at large. Anyone with information about the theft has been asked to contact the Newark Police Department.
