Man Hospitalized After Shooting On I-80 In San Pablo Shuts Down Lanes Of Traffic

SAN PABLO (CBS SF) -- A shooting on I-80 in San Pablo left a man hospitalized Monday night, and temporarily shut down lanes of the freeway during the evening commute.

Bullet holes and a broken window could be seen on the victim's sedan.

The male victim was taken to John Muir Medical Center.

San Pablo police say there were witnesses to the shooting, but it was unclear if the incident was the result of road rage.

"It's hard to say what could've happened at this point. There's so many options that you just don't know what could've been out there. Could there have been a break in traffic? Could there have been a million witnesses? We just don't know at this point," San Pablo Police Commander Gene Alameda said.
