Bay Area Fast Food Workers Walk Off Job, Join Nationwide Strike
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Bay Area fast food workers walked off the job and onto the picket line Tuesday.
They joined thousands of other workers nationwide.
Walkouts were planned in nearly 300 cities.
Fast food workers in California are striking one year after voters weighed in on a minimum wage initiative.
It would raise California's minimum wage to $15 an hour by the year 2020, and guarantee 6 sick days a year for full-time employees.
