Palo Alto Package Thief Caught On Camera

PALO ALTO (CB SF) -- Police were asking for the public's help in finding a man seen on video stealing packages from the porch of a Palo Alto home.

The resident of a home on the 2700 block of South Court told police the theft happened on December 5th when she was out of town.

The home's surveillance camera captured a man driving slowly through the neighborhood, passing by the victim's home, and then doubling back and parking in front of the home.

The man is then seen walking up to the front steps and stealing five packages off the porch. He was described by police as a Hispanic male between 25 and 30 years of age, about 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 10 inches tall with an average build and a mustache.

The man was wearing a black T-shirt with a red "Superman" logo on the front, an unzipped white hooded sweatshirt, blue pants, and black sports sandals with white socks.

The suspect vehicle is a red 1990's era four-door sedan, possibly a Nissan Sentra with tinted rear windows and no hubcaps.

Anyone who recognizes the man or has any information on the theft was urged to contact Palo Alto Police.
