2 Killed In Saturday-Night Crash On I-680 In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD (CBS SF) -- The California Highway Patrol Sunday morning reported that all lanes of northbound Interstate Highway 680 in Fairfield have been cleared following a Saturday-night vehicle collision that killed two people.

A Sig-alert issued Saturday night has been canceled, according to the CHP. The roadway was reopened at 12:45 a.m.

The collision occurred at 9:16 p.m. on the highway just north of the Gold Hill Road off-ramp.

The vehicle caught fire after the collision, according to the CHP.
