ORINDA (CBS-SF) – A man captured on video tape as he allegedly burglarized an Orinda home has been arrested, authorities announced Monday.
The Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office said 24-year-old Marzett Parker of San Francisco was being held in county jail in Martinez and was facing robbery and other charges.
Authorities said a woman knocked on the door of a home on La Espiral in Orinda last week and asked for directions to the freeway.
The woman then got into a gray colored Hyundai and drove away. A suspicious homeowner called the authorities and the vehicle was spotted by Orinda police a short time later.
The vehicle was stopped and officers recognized one of the passengers, who was wearing a Santa Claus hat, as Parker.
He was identified as a suspect in a Dec. 1, 2015 burglary in Orinda and he was wanted on at least three outstanding warrants for burglary and robbery.
The others in the vehicle were interviewed by police and released.
Anyone with any information on Parker is asked to contact the Orinda Police Department at 925-254-6820. For any tips, please email: email@example.com or call (866) 846-3592 to leave an anonymous voice message.
