Berkeley Elementary Teacher Shot While Driving Through Richmond
RICHMOND (CBS SF) -- An East Bay elementary teacher was in critical condition after being shot in the neck while driving through Richmond over the weekend.
52-year-old Claire Dugan is a fourth grade teacher at Cragmont Elementary in Berkeley.
Police say she was shot Saturday as she drove down Cutting Boulevard in Richmond.
Witnesses told police they saw a man run from the scene of the shooting, but no one has been arrested.
"I hear the boom, boom, boom, then I went outside, and they were shooting," one witness said.
Administrators at Cragmont say they are deeply pained by the shooting.
