Home Partially Collapses Onto Truck Below In Russian River Community Of Monte Rio
MONTE RIO (CBS SF) -- Part of a home's retaining wall collapsed onto a truck when the land underneath the home began sliding in west Sonoma County Monday.
The steep hillside at the Monte Rio home is covered in tarps, but underneath the earth is moving, and fire officials say the home could collapse as more rain falls on the area.
The Monte Rio Fire Department shared pictures of the collapsing home, showing the wall resting on the truck below.
The house sits in a rural area of the Russian River community, and if the home collapses completely, it could block the road directly in front of it.
No one was injured in the slide.
