Two Hospitalized After Separate Early Morning Shootings In SF

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred early Thursday morning in San Francisco, leaving two people injured.

Around 1:15 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 200 block of Leavenworth Street in the city's Tenderloin neighborhood, according to police.

Police learned two suspects approached a 33-year-old man. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and then shot the man multiple times, police said.

The victim received gunshot wounds to his stomach and legs. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for the injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The suspects then fled the scene. Police later recovered shell casings from the scene and are still seeking the suspects this morning.

The second shooting was reported around 1:50 a.m. after a 36-year-old man walked into a hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg, police said.

The victim, who is expected to survive, was uncooperative and did not want to provide officers any information about the incident, police said.
