SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — A man was arrested for allegedly killing a woman during on altercation on the main campus at University of California, San Francisco.

UCSF police said the altercation happened just before 5:00 p.m. Thursday near 400 Parnassus Ave. and that the suspect and the victim knew each other.

It was not clear if either of the two were students or otherwise associated with the university, UCSF Medical Center, or the Ambulatory Care Center at 400 Parnassus.

The man was taken into custody immediately, police said. Anyone with information about the incident was urged to contact the UCSF Police Department.
