SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Ticket prices for Super Bowl 50 continued to soar Monday, reaching new heights among scalpers.

According to the scalping ticket website – seatgeek.com – the average ticket price for the showdown between Carolina and Denver has reached $5,335.

The average scalped ticket prices since 2010, according to seatgeeks.com records, are:

  • 1. Super Bowl 50 – Carolina vs. Denver — $5,335
  • 2. Super Bowl XLIX – Patriots vs. Seahawks — $4,271
  • 3. Super Bowl XLV – Packers vs. Steelers — $3,561
  • 4. Super Bowl XLVI – Patriots vs. Giants — $2,991
  • 5. Super Bowl XLVIII – Broncos vs. Seahawks — $2,537
  • 6. Super Bowl XLVII – 49ers vs. Ravens — $2,479

According to StubHub, tickets on the 50-yard-line were being priced at $25,000 a piece with the middle club level going for a high of $10,995, the loge $10,000 and the nosebleed sections at the top of the stadium $5,000.
