Super Bowl 50 Statue At Civic Center Vandalized

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A statue promoting Super Bowl 50 at San Francisco's Civic Center Plaza has been vandalized, according to reports.

Just a day after Hoodline reported the latest defacing of a similar statue at Alamo Square Park that changed the lettering to read "Superb Owl 50," the website published a photo shared by Twitter user @shanand that shows the Civic Center statue now reads "Sup Bro 50" after several letters were blacked out.

The statues, just two of the ten being set up around the Bay Area by the NFL to promote the game, have been the target of critics and vandals since they first started being installed earlier this month.
