A third man who was injured in the domestic violence shooting incident on Cole Drive was hospitalized, Marin County sheriff’s Lt. Doug Pittman said.

The sheriff’s office received 911 calls around 10 a.m. about an altercation involving bats or sticks, but when the first responders arrived callers told dispatchers that shots were fired, Pittman said.

“We received a number of phone calls that there was some sort of fight or altercation involving persons armed with bats, knifes, sticks, things of that nature, said Lt. Doug Pittman of the Marin County Sheriff’s Office. “And, again, it was during our response that that was upgraded that people were now reporting that they were hearing gunfire taking place.”
