SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) — We’ve always heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and there’s new evidence that while breakfast may not necessarily result in weight loss, it does result in obese people becoming more active.

“What we found is that these obese people tend to be more active in the morning, when they ate breakfast compared to when they hadn’t done that,” Dr. Ehnad Chowdhury, Health Scientist at the University of Bath in England said.

“It also helped them to regulate their blood sugar,” he said.
Chowdhury says a lot of mysteries remain about breakfast, and despite their findings that eating breakfast seems to mean you’ll be more active during your morning hours, there’s not a one-size-fits-all breakfast plan for good health.MORE NEWS: CVS Stores Roll Out Pfizer Booster Shots Across Bay Area
“It might depend on what your goal is as to how important breakfast might be for you personally.”
