San Francisco Looks To Refund $6 Million In Overpaid Parking Fines

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – If you have paid a parking ticket in San Francisco in the last two decades, the city might owe you money.

Between 1995 and 2012, the city collected $6 million in overpaid or duplicate parking fines.

If you're one of those who paid too much, you have about one week left to get your money back.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency has posted a list of all the people and companies on its website who are eligible for reimbursement.

March 3rd is the deadline to file a claim. After that date, the unclaimed money will become the property of the City and County of San Francisco.
