SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Rescue swimmers with the San Francisco Fire Department rescued a man from the waters off Ocean Beach Friday night, according to a fire lieutenant.
Crews were dispatched to the intersection of Great Highway and Noriega Street at 10:12 p.m. on report of a victim in the water.
After they arrived on scene rescue swimmers entered the water and rescued the man, which took ten to 15 minutes. He was transported to a hospital with minor injuries, according to Lt. John Baxter.
As of 10:30 p.m., Great Highway was blocked in both directions between Noriega Street and Pacheco Street due to the presence of rescue equipment, Baxter said.
