(CNET) – Critics haven’t been kind to “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which opened in theaters this week. It currently sits at a 30 percent not-fresh rating on movie review site Rotten Tomatoes, and reviewers are throwing around words like “absurdity,” “slog,” “hostile” and “exhausting.” It’s enough to make an actor feel a little down in the dumps.

The movie marks Ben Affleck’s first crack at playing Batman. He and Superman co-star Henry Cavill sat down for an interview to discuss the film. YouTube user Sabconth took the footage, made a few adjustments and published it under the title “Batman V Superman – Sad Affleck” on Thursday. (Watch below)

Cavill launches into a thoughtful in-depth response to the question, but his voice quickly fades out and is replaced with the melancholy tones of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence.” The video slowly zooms in on Affleck’s downward, contemplative eyes.
