2 Arrested In Brazen Burlingame Pharmacy Heist

BURLINGAME (CBS SF) – Two of the three suspects in a brazen drug heist at a Walgreens Pharmacy in Burlingame were taken into custody Wednesday.

Police tracked the pair to a hotel room in Hayward and found prescription drugs they believe were stolen from the 24-hour Walgreens located at 260 El Camino Real shortly after midnight.

Elisa Solis of Redwood City and Brayan Pinon a transient, both age 21, were taken into custody. It is not clear exactly what role each played in the robbery. Earlier Wednesday, surveillance video of the robbery was posted on Twitter.

Police said one suspect, armed with a knife, allegedly leaped over a counter, threatened a clerk and then emptied the shelves of a Burlingame Walgreens pharmacy before escaping with more than 3200 prescription pills.

The suspect produced a knife and told the technician on duty to lay on the ground as he ransacked the pharmacy shelves of Xanax and Hydrocodone pills.

The suspect then fled the scene in a black compact vehicle. It was believed the suspect was associated to an unidentified male wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.

Investigators described the suspect as a Hispanic Male Adult, 5 foot 11 inches tall, approximately 180 pounds with a mustache and goatee.
