"Sorry You Were Cut!" Warriors Prank Festus Ezeli For April Fool's Day

OAKLAND (CBS SF) – Ride-sharing company Lyft has unveiled a Prank Mode for April Fools' Day that will allow select riders to fool their friends or family with Lyft playing along, a service demonstrated on Warriors backup center Festus Ezeli.

While his teammates have been surging toward setting the all-time NBA record for wins in a regular season, Ezeli has been nursing his ailing knee back to health just in time for the playoffs. He took part in a pregame shoot around earlier this week and may be back on the court next week.

But while his presence has been missed during road trips, Ezeli hasn't escaped being the target of a prank or two from his teammates.

This week, veteran Warriors forward Andre Iguodala teamed up with Lyft (and an assist by KNBR 680) and the prank was recorded on video.

The prank is part of a promotion Lyft unveiled Thursday. According to a company blog, Prank Mode will be available April 1 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York.
