SoCal Cop Plays Hopscotch With Homeless Girl In Viral Video

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBS SF) -- A touching gesture by a police officer in Southern California toward a young girl is drawing huge accolades after a video of their encounter was posted on Facebook.

The video shows what happened after Huntington Beach officers were called Wednesday to check on a report of a suspicious vehicle.

They found a mother and her 11-year-old daughter who were living out of a car parked on a street.

While one officer called the city's homeless task force to arrange for housing, the second officer, identified on the Facebook post as "Officer Pricer," befriended the girl by demonstrating his hopscotch technique.
