FREMONT (CBS SF) – A woman and a man were arrested on suspicion of robbing a Raley’s Supermarket in Fremont on Wednesday, police said.

Officers responded at 5:25 p.m. to the store at 39200 Paseo Padre Parkway on a report of the robbery. Rachel LeClaire, a 24-year-old Oakdale woman, allegedly stole items from the store before a loss prevention employee stopped her. LeClaire had a child with her, but as the loss prevention employee tried to detain her, LeClaire allegedly attacked the employee.
As the attack occurred, LeClaire’s boyfriend Gregory Merritt got out of a vehicle and allegedly acted as if he had a gun. Fearing for her life, the loss prevention employee let LeClaire go.
