Backstreet Boys Are Headed To Las Vegas For Residency

By Annie Reuter

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (RADIO.COM) – Backstreet's back but as any Backstreet Boys fan will tell you, the '90s boy band never really left. Fans will be happy to learn that the group shows no signs of slowing down and instead, will be doing the exact opposite as a new album and Las Vegas residency are on the way.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the Backstreet Boys are headed to Sin City for a nine-show deal with the possibility of an extended stay.

"If it does really well, then I think that'll open that door and then in the future we'll do it," Backstreet Boy Nick Carter tells ET. "So that's definitely going to happen but we're going to do a trial run first."

Carter promises "a very big and spectacular show" that will include the Backstreet Boys' catalogue of hits and all five members. Meanwhile, bandmate Kevin Richardson says a Vegas residency will be convenient for each member's family.

"A Vegas residency, now that we're all fathers, could be very convenient for us . . . We won't have to travel so much," he says, adding that new music is on the way. "We're definitely in the studio recording a brand new album."

Complete details on where and when the band's residency will be held have not yet been released.
