Man With Conspicuous Tattoos Sought In Pleasant Hill Armed Robbery

PLEASANT HILL (CBS SF) – Police released additional details Wednesday regarding a dangerous suspect in an armed robbery at a department store in Pleasant Hill Tuesday afternoon and asked for the public's help in finding him.

Police are looking for Charles Frederick Justus, 22, of Hayward, in connection with a robbery reported at 1:47 p.m. Tuesday at a Nordstrom Rack location at 703 Contra Costa Blvd.

Police said today that Justus, a parolee, is considered to be armed and dangerous and his whereabouts are unknown.

He allegedly used a firearm of some kind to rob the store of merchandise before he was involved in a pursuit with Pleasant Hill police officers onto highways and into neighboring cities.

The chase was terminated when the suspect drove into oncoming traffic, police said. It was later determined that there were three children and a woman in the vehicle during the pursuit, police said.

Police reported that Justus was last seen driving a beige-colored 2000 Dodge Durango with a license plate of 4MAT720.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call investigators at (925) 288-4630.
