2 Men Arrested After One Threatens Security Guard At Milpitas Dave and Buster's Restaurant

MILPITAS (CBS SF) -- Two men were arrested Thursday after one of the men threatened to kill a Dave and Buster's security guard in Milpitas, according to police.

Police said around 1:15 a.m., a Dave and Buster's security guard flagged down a Milpitas police officer in the parking lot near the 447 block of Great Mall Drive.

The security guard told police a man, who may have been armed, verbally threatened to kill him, causing him to fear for his safety.

The officer located the vehicle associated to the suspect, a 1993 green Ford Explorer, and conducted a traffic stop.

According to police, there were four occupants in the vehicle including driver Manuel Contreras, 21, and passenger Ronald Teodoro Martinez, 30, identified as the suspect who threatened to kill the security guard.

During an investigation, police said officers searched the vehicle and located a backpack containing approximately 5 grams of cocaine, a digital scale, small plastic bags and a loaded Taurus 9mm revolver in the vehicle, along with a butterfly knife in the glove box, police said.

Officers arrested Manuel Contreras on suspicion of transportation and possession of cocaine for sales, possession of a butterfly knife and possession of a loaded firearm within a vehicle.

Ronald Teodoro Martinez was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats, according to police.

The pair was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
