SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — San Francisco Supervisor Jane Kim is running for State Senate and she has a new ad where she trades in her stilettos and shows off her black belt in taekwando.

The former school board president is currently the District 6 supervisor, where she represents the Tenderloin, SoMa and treasure Island neighborhoods.

Known for being anti-eviction, Kim also wants City College of San Francisco to be free for all.

Kim is running against Supervisor Scott Wiener, who represents District 8, which includes the Castro, Noe Valley and Twin peaks neighborhoods..

Wiener’s campaign platform includes improvements to public transportation, sustainability and creating more housing across the region.
