President Obama "Slow Jams" Political Accomplishments

By Hayden Wright

(RADIO.COM) – President Barack Obama appeared on The Tonight Show for a bit of fun. With just six months left in office and a

Hawaiian family vacation coming up this summer, Obama unwound with Jimmy Fallon by presenting a cool, jazzy R&B retrospective of his presidency.

"Hello. I'm President Barack Obama, and I, too, would like to slow jam this news," said POTUS.

Obama then recited a laundry list of his presidential accomplishments over a smooth beat while Fallon punctuated his ideas with "ohhh yeah." Obama talked about job growth, clean energy, universal health care, same-sex marriage: "In short, climate change is real, health care is affordable and love is love."

Fallon added, "When Republicans gave him lemons, he made so much lemonade, Beyonce started calling him 'Baracky with the good hair.'" Questlove and the Roots also pitched in some jokes and musical gags — but the most presidential bits were left to the sitting president.

In the same episode, Madonna performed a tasteful arrangement of her 80s hit, "Borderline." Following her divisive Prince tribute, the set marked a refreshing and unimpeachable return to form—she even snagged a photo with the President.
