STANFORD (CBS SF) — The powerful letter a Stanford sexual assault victim read to her attacker is being in its entirety before members of Congress.

Representative Jackie Speier will read the woman’s full impact statement during a historic Special Order Hour Wednesday night on the house floor.

The 12-page letter made headlines and lit up social media during the sentencing of defendant Brock Turner, an ex-Stanford swimming star accused of sexually assaulting a woman who passed out at a party.

The judge in the case has come under fire for sentencing Turner to only six months.
