Police do not believe she was the intended target of the shooting on Franklin Street on June 14th.

Three other young people were wounded.

The killing angered many people, including Congresswoman Barbara Lee, who brought Reggina’s picture to the House floor, and dedicated the marathon sit in to the high school student and other recent Oakland homicide victims.

Lee held up Reggina’s picture, saying they need to tighten the nation’s gun control laws.
