Woman Wins $555,555 On $5 Power 5's Lottery Ticket Bought At Fremont Safeway
FREMONT (CBS SF) -- A woman is more than half a million dollars richer after she purchased a winning lottery ticket in Fremont, California Lottery officials said Friday.
Fremont resident Patricia Duke, 63, found out she was winner after she recently bought a $5 Power 5's Scratchers ticket at a Safeway at 39100 Argonaut Way, according to lottery officials.
Duke, a daycare operator, won $555,555 with her winning ticket.
"I can pay off the rest of my bills and retire the way I want to retire," Duke said. "I haven't slept in almost a week."
Duke said she plans to use the money to travel with her husband. Her first stop will be Disneyland, according to Duke.
