Entertainment Weekly asked the “Pulp Fiction” star to elaborate on his insistence that Mace Windu survived. “Jedi can fall from amazing distances and there’s a long history of one-armed, one-handed Jedi.”

The actor also explained that he ran the theory by “Star Wars” creator George Lucas, and apparently he made enough of a stink about it that Lucas finally relented, telling him, “I’m OK with that. You can be alive.”
