Police Release Video Of Suspect Who Bit Off SF Bartender's Finger
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Police have released surveillance videos of a man who allegedly attacked and bit off the finger of a bartender at a San Francisco bar.
It happened July 17 at about 2:15 a.m. at the Silver Clouds Karaoke bar located in the 1900 block of Lombard Street in the Russian Hill neighborhood.
Police say the bartender was trying to close up when a male customer, who had been drinking there earlier, attempted to re-enter.
The customer became irate when the bartender told him he couldn't come in and began kicking the door. He even tried to come in through a window.
When the bartender went outside to confront him, the customer attacked him. Police say the customer bit and severed one of the victim's fingers.
The suspect left the scene with a group of friends. He is described as a 180-pound, 6 foot tall Hispanic male, with black hair and brown eyes.
The victim was taken to a hospital and treated for his injuries which included contusions to his head, and an amputated finger.

Police have released 2 surveillance videos, in hopes they will lead to the capture and arrest of the suspect.
In the first video, the suspect is fully clothed and appears to be eating a sandwich. In the second, he removes his shirt and begins tussling with a man police believe is one of his friends.
