Pleasanton Man Accused Of Assaulting Student At His Former High School

PLEASANTON (CBS SF) -- A 20-year-old man was arrested at his former Pleasanton high school Monday afternoon after he allegedly assaulted a female student in the school's parking lot, police said.

Around 12:45 p.m., a student at Foothill High School at 4375 Foothill Road told school officials that a man had inappropriately touched her in the school's parking lot, according to police.

The student said the man grabbed her buttocks and somehow tore her shorts during the assault. The female student was not injured during the incident, police said.

After alerting police, school officials and officers searched the area, but the suspect had already fled. The suspect was identified as Pleasanton resident Dong-Hoo Lee, a former student at the school, according to police.

Later in the afternoon, around 3:15 p.m., Lee returned to the school's parking lot and a school employee spotted him, police said.

When a responding officer contacted him, he initially allegedly gave a fake name. After detaining him, the officer discovered he had a concealed knife on him. Police determined the knife was not used during the initial incident involving the female student, police said.

Lee was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery, possession of a knife on campus and providing false information to a police officer. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail, according to police.

The incident remains under investigation as officers attempt to determine why Lee confronted the student. Police do not believe Lee targeted or confronted any other students, police said.
