Millbrae Man Wins $750,000 Off $10 Scratchers Ticket
MILLBRAE (CBS SF) -- A 21-year-old man won $750,000 from a $10 lottery ticket he bought at a gas station in Millbrae, lottery officials said Friday.
Dominic Gomez bought the ticket at the 76 gas station at 5 El Camino Real. The $750,000 sum is the top prize given for the $10 Mystery Crossword Scratchers tickets, California Lottery said.
"I'm really calm right now, but this is about to change my life," Gomez said in a statement.
Lottery officials said that $10 Mystery Crossword Scratchers are part of an effort to give out more prizes and more money to public education.
