Fifth Harmony's Normani Kordei Returns To Twitter For A Good Cause

By Hayden Wright

(RADIO.COM) – Last month, Fifth Harmony's Normani Kordei quit Twitter due to cyberbullying, but now she's back with a good cause to promote. Normani rejoined the social networking platform yesterday to announce her new partnership with Cybersmile, a nonprofit that fights the corrosive influence of cyberbullying on vulnerable young people.

"Unfortunately there is a lot of abuse and negativity online," the 20-year-old said in a statement. "By working with Cybersmile I want to raise awareness of the support that is available to people affected while playing my part in contributing to a kinder and more positive internet for everybody,"

Kordei plans to use her platform as a pop star to promote a healthier social media culture —as well as giving Internet users adequate resources to address and recover from attacks online.

"No one has the right to make where you go or what you do uncomfortable," she said. "It's important to stand up to all forms of bullying, and it's even more important for those who are around you to be just as courageous and stand with you! Together we can put an end to the hate and promote only positivity and love."
