Residents who were evacuated from their homes were relocated to a shopping center across the street from Lieb Court.

Part of the shopping center was also evacuated, according to fire officials.

PG&E crews were able to cut off the gas and firefighters were able to put out the fire.

The fire was officially brought under control around 9:45 p.m., fire officials said.

Fire officials say most of the surrounding homes were largely saved from the blaze.
