SACRAMENTO (CBS SF) – The California Department of Motor Vehicles announced Wednesday that a massive computer outage has impacted field offices statewide for a third straight day.
According to the DMV, the outage started on Monday. Despite crews working around the clock to rebuild the system, the agency announced about 100 offices were impacted on Tuesday and offices continued to have problems through Wednesday morning.READ MORE: San Jose Police Release Video Of Suspect's Car In 2018 Khan Lieu Cold Case Murder
The DMV said on Twitter that they anticipate offices to be coming back online throughout the day.
Some offices that are emerging from the outage are only offering driver’s license services only.READ MORE: Woman's Body Found Following Boating Accident Near Stockton
Impacted offices will continue to provide driving tests, make return appointments, help out with paperwork and answer customer questions. Online services are still available.
The DMV has not said what caused the outage.
