SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – For the sixth year in a row, the Bay Area ranked high on Zillow’s list for taking the little ones out for trick-or-treating. However, for the first time in half a decade, Philadelphia dethroned the City by the Bay from the #1 spot in 2016.

San Francisco dropped down two slots from last year’s survey. At #3, San Francisco falls below San Jose who by snagged the #2 spot.

Zillow also ranked San Jose’s top neighborhoods to candy hop with Rose Garden, Almaden Valley, Willow Glen, Cambrian Park and West San Jose topping the list. The best San Francisco neighborhoods include Lake Street, Glen Park, St. Francis Wood, Sea Cliff and topping the list again, Presidio Heights.

According to Zillow, their improved methodology recognizes homes located closest from one another, crime rates and by cities with the greatest share of population under the age of 10 years old.

2016 marks the eighth year that Zillow has released its 20 Best Cities for Trick-Or-Treating list in an effort to help trick-or-treaters find the most candy.
