Suspect Who Slapped Teen In Concord Surrenders To Police

CONCORD (CBS SF) -- The man police say slapped a teen employee of an entertainment center in Concord last month turned himself in to police Thursday morning.

Police say Torin Jackson of Oakland reached over a counter at the Jungle entertainment and party center on Oct. 22 and struck the 17-year-old boy in the head.

Officers released a surveillance video of the attack, which shows Jackson, who appears to be accompanied by a young child, viciously slap the teen and then step back from the counter.

Police did not provide a motive for the attack.

Jackson faces two misdemeanor battery charges, according to Concord police.
