Bay Area Pot Dispensaries Offer 'Green Friday' Deals
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Some Bay Area marijuana dispensaries are taking a cue from traditional retailers the day after Thanksgiving by offering special "Green Friday" discounts, according to reports.
A story posted on the Bay Area News Group's website The Cannifornian -- which focuses on the expanded legal use of marijuana in the state -- notes that a number of Bay Area dispensaries in San Francisco, the East Bay and San Jose will be providing customers with one-day discount prices on Friday, November 25.
A flyer for Magnolia Wellness, an Oakland dispensary located near Jack London Square, advertises everything from $100 ounce and 20 percent off ounce discounts, "Black Friday Box Deals," and free "top-shelf pre-roll" joints for customers who spend $100.
The story also lists other deals, including San Francisco dispensary Medithrive's doorbuster-style offer to their first 100 "patients" who give a $20 donation to purchase a "top-shelf Girl Scout Cookie" eighth of an ounce for only $15 (regular price is $54).
